A Decade of Kim Arnold’s UK Tarot Conference Evolving 2010 – 2020

2019-12-17T14:00:28+00:0017 December 2019|blog|

What a decade it has been for Tarot; the joy of seeing Tarot become more mainstream, with card images featuring in high profile adverts is getting people talking.  Certainly, when I began reading 30 odd years ago, you were regarded as some kind of woo woo weirdo if you read the cards, or if you had any association with the [...]

What’s in a Name? Quite a Lot Apparently!

2019-07-17T10:40:21+01:0017 July 2019|blog|

You must know by now that the lovely Steven Bright and I are working on a new magazine, its main focus being Tarot but we wanted the freedom to incorporate other divination tools as the magazine grows.  Oracle World was the perfect name, it flowed off the tongue and summed up beautifully what we were trying to achieve.       We did [...]

Chakra Meditations by Swami Saradananda

2019-03-06T12:50:48+00:006 March 2019|blog|

(Watkins Publishing £15.99) I love it when a deck for review lands on my doorstep, often, it is not a deck I would be drawn too, but when working with it, it becomes a familiar friend. The Chakra Meditations deck was like opening a box of delicious chocolates, inspiring artwork and guidance via lovely quality cards. Each month I hold [...]

Margate and TS Eliot & The Wasteland (who knew)

2018-08-15T12:56:45+01:0015 August 2018|blog|

I only recently found out that this very shelter, about 5 miles from where I live, is where T S Eliot wrote some of his famous lines from the Wasteland.  In 1921, after suffering a nervous breakdown he came to Margate to recuperate, in this very spot he allegedly spent many hours pondering and writing.  I don't think the extract [...]

By Chrissie Astell , Illustrated by Rene Milot - Published by Watkins  (RRP £15.99) Another deck of Angel Oracle cards hits the shelves, this is a topic which seems to just keep on giving.  It interests me, as in how much there is still to offer from the Angel world and I am delighted that these cards deliver something different.  [...]

When you just can’t say NO!

2018-02-26T15:59:57+00:0026 February 2018|blog|

It has been a strange and difficult few months, with the decline of my father’s health I made a choice that I would pretty much stop work and help to look after him.  His passing on the 29th January was the biggest tragedy of my life to date.  I know I should be grateful that I have been blessed with [...]
