October 2024 Update

What a whirlwind October has been! As I write this, the conference has wrapped up, and I am already working on our 2025 conference.  Here’s a quick overview of our 2024 conference: our Thursday pre-conference event has turned into the most sought-after ticket in town—and honestly, I’m not surprised; it’s fantastic! The private room upstairs at the Marquis Cornwallis was buzzing with lively conversations, laughter, cake, and plenty of hugs. This year, the cheeky and delightful Neil Kelso surprised us with an impromptu magic show featuring Juan the Duck, so funny, we ended up keeping the joke about Juan going all weekend long!

The conference on Friday and Saturday was fabulous. We delved into topics that I had initially been hesitant to include in the programme. However, trusting my instincts turned out to be a great decision. I believe we explored some groundbreaking theories about Tarot that can enhance our skills as readers and deepen our understanding of the cards. For those of us who read professionally, I am sure we are better equipped to offer even more value in our practice. Each speaker who took the stage brought their own brilliance, contributing unique perspectives that enriched the experience.

The UK Tarot Conference is a remarkable event (even if I do say so myself), and I’ve heard exciting news about potential book deals being discussed for attendees who might not have had such an opportunity otherwise. This kind of connection has always been a hallmark of the conference—numerous publishing deals have been established through it. It brings me great joy to see this continue!

I think you will agree the goodie bags were outstanding this year, so another huge thank you to our amazing sponsors, Llewellyn, Hay House, Kindred Spirit magazine, Schiffer, Red Feather, Watkins, Lo Scarabeo, The Gypsy Fair Thailand, Tiffany Lazic, thank you all, you are amazing, the goodie bags were fabulous.

On to 2025.  Dates are set 10th 11th October 2025, The Holiday Inn booked, and contracts signed (I don’t hang about), and our new banner revealed.  Our 22nd conference will honour The Fool.  I am already in discussion with speakers and look forward to announcing our stellar lineup next year.    Deposits are now being taken to secure your place, there are already over 30 seats sold, you can hold your seat by paying a deposit here: http://tarotconference.co.uk/uk-programme/

I am just back from a couple of days in Paris celebrating my birthday. Not a Tarot card nor New Age shop in site, and that was just how I needed it to be 😊 sometimes it is healthy to take a step away from the familiar, however much you love it.  I am back at the desk now working on my ‘Tarot by The Sea’ Retreat in April, just two rooms left, http://tarotconference.co.uk/special-events/ if you are on IG do follow me on my new page @tarottheseaandme,  I have just started adding a few posts here.

That’s all for now, thank you to everyone who made this conference so special, whether you were a speaker, sponsor, or attendee, collectively you made this just a fabulous event.

I have a great idea …….  let’s do it all again next year!!

After what felt like an eternity waiting for the calendar to turn into April for the Tarot by the Sea retreat, it suddenly arrived. The December Newsletter is always a moment of reflection for me, a time to look back on the year and evaluate the highs and lows. This year’s conference was arguably one of the best we’ve had since the pandemic. And while there were a few behind-the-scenes stresses, it’s essential that all of you see only…

March was a whirlwind. Each year, I attend the London Book Fair with Steven Bright, other than a good catch-up with Steven, the visit is primarily to reconnect with publisher friends and to secure items for the UK Tarot Conference goodie bags. I’m aware that I’ve set a high standard for these goodie bags—arguably the…

I’m currently preparing for my Canterbury event on June 6th.  As I do my homework, I find myself thinking about my school days when trips to the cathedral were part of the curriculum. I must admit, I found all the historical details quite boring back then. However, gaining a deeper understanding of the religious and…
