July 2024 Update

July is typically a quiet period for our conference preparations, aside from following up with attendees who have been holding a ticket on deposit I took the opportunity to take a break with my family and enjoyed a wonderful 7-day stretch of sunshine in Marbella (what is going on with our weather)?

As life has returned to normal post-C*vid, I’ve been pondering the future of our virtual option. While it was extremely popular during the pandemic and the years after, interest has waned since travel restrictions were lifted and international attendees and those who preferred not to travel can now join us in person. I’m seriously considering whether this year will mark the end of our virtual component and we’ll switch to an in-person-only format moving forward. However, I’m open to changing my mind if you have any thoughts on this topic.

I’ve wrapped up the reviews for Kindred Spirit magazine, this has been an adventure! With a mix of tarot and oracle decks to review, I’ve had my work cut out. Honestly, I’m still scratching my head over some of the decks that made it to publication. But, more on that another time… In other news, Steven and I are hard at work on our ‘Home Magic’ Oracle deck, and I’m excited to share that it’s taking shape. Stay tuned for more details soon!

I’m receiving an overwhelming number of boxes from our publishers for your conference goodie bags, we have new sponsors on board this year alongside our friends at Llewellyn, Hay House, Red Feather, and Kindred Spirit, this is all wonderful but also a logistical challenge – with over 100 attendees, it looks like I might need to hire a van to move everything!

Finally, I’m excited to share something new with you all next month. It’s a Tarot project that I’m honoured to be a part of, and sponsor in order to make it happen. It loosely ties in with my ‘Tarot by the Sea’ retreat next year, but it’s something that will resonate with all Tarot enthusiasts. I’ve said too much already, so more news and photos will come in the next update!”

2025 has had an interesting start and I am hoping the Hermit year improves. After a bout of flu which I passed on to the family (you are welcome), the grandchildren both got chicken pox, I have had this twice in my life which is apparently unheard of but thankfully I escaped the spotty disease!…
