March 2024 Update

Its all about the publications!  We are delighted to announce a dedicated author book signing space at the conference.  Titles and authors appearing in person include: The Sherwood Tarot by Mark Ryan & John Matthews, The Fool’s New Journey by John Matthews, The Bee Tarot by Kristoffer Hughes and The High Priestess and The Empress by Susan Wands!

Talking of books, I spent time at the London Book Fair this month, connecting with my publishing friends and securing goodie bags gifts for the conference.    It was lovely to see the Hekatean Path Oracle by our lovely Chris Butler and Kenn Payne, and as an added bonus, when I arrived home a copy was waiting for me.   I always meet with Bill from Llewellyn, they have been my biggest supporters for as many years as I can remember, we had a lovely chat about so many things, I had a flick through the Bee Tarot, it is so beautiful.   A quick hello to Sevy at the Red Feather stand and got to see Lara Van Zuydam book ‘Soul’ due out in May, I was really touched to read Lara has given me a mention in the acknowledgments.

Conference update:  One of my recommended go to titles for anyone looking learn tarot (before I wrote Tarot Made Easy) was The Tarot Bible by Sarah Bartlett and I am delighted to announce that Sarah will be joining us as a speaker in October.   I have approached Sarah before to come and speak but unfortunately our diaries have never tallied up, so 2024 it is!!

UK Tarot Conference Early Bird Virtual Offer:  Reminder that if you cannot join us in person the virtual offer ends 1st April http://tarotconference.co.uk/virtual-events/

I usually hesitate to discuss new projects early on as they often get imitated, but with the UK Tarot Conference full practically upon its announcement, I feel it’s time to share my new venture.

I am thrilled to unveil “Tarot by The Sea”, a retreat set to launch in April 2025. Recently, I discovered that Arthur Edward Waite resided in Ramsgate and Broadstairs, Kent just 8 miles from my home.  This has inspired me to delve into the esoteric history of Kent, visiting libraries and connecting with local historians and writers, my findings are truly remarkable, I believe, we have discovered important additions to what we already know about Waite.  I am so inspired by what I have discovered, that in true Kim fashion, I have secured an entire hotel where Princess Victoria spent her summers as a child, I am in my element crafting a one-of-a-kind Tarot retreat unique to the Tarot community. This is not just a ‘Waite Weekend’ in true seaside fashion we are delving in to fairground cartomancy, exploring spreads and reading techniques of those who came before us.  As we move through the centuries and decades, we explore tarot and how it has evolved.  With guest speakers there will be an abundance of interactive work with tarot in the place where Charles Dickens was inspired to write, and Turner famously created some of his most famous masterpieces.
