Feburary 2025 Update

I have some great news to share! We have successfully found our new venue.  After much to-ing and fro-ing the contracts have been signed!  We are returning to Kensington High Street, and I’m thrilled to announce that we’ll be hosting our event at the Copthorne Tara Hotel. We’ve secured the largest space in the hotel, and I must say, the staff has been incredibly accommodating after hearing about our situation with the Holiday Inn cancellation. This might turn out to be a blessing in disguise and this change is apt for our Fool year and the space is bigger and better! Additionally, they are offering a special room rate, and I will provide more information on this as soon as the code is available.

This year’s lineup offers an international platform, and I’m considering reintroducing our ‘Tabletop Tarot’ sessions during the lunch breaks, much like we did in the early days. This format allows for smaller gatherings around tables instead of just a main stage, giving you the freedom to pick and choose the sessions that interest you.   To be honest I am thinking out loud lol but after 22 years, change is good.

I had the pleasure of being interviewed Jolanda, aka TarotJo we had a chat about the conference, and she asked me some really interesting questions such as …. If the conference was a Tarot card which one would it be (good question) after a moment or two it came to me, but you will have to listen here to find out more https://youtu.be/MKsTEn0A8e8

My Tarot by the sea retreat in April is full, we do have space for a couple of day attendees on Friday 4th April, I am so looking forward to this. http://tarotconference.co.uk/special-events/

Finally, I have a new website, I really felt that after a sticky start to 2025 I needed to shift the energy. The new website is very clean and unfussy, let me know your thoughts.

  • March 2026 Update

March was a whirlwind. Each year, I attend the London Book Fair with Steven Bright, other than a good catch-up with Steven, the visit is primarily to reconnect with publisher friends and to secure items for the UK Tarot Conference goodie bags. I’m aware that I’ve set a high standard for these goodie bags—arguably the…

They say January is the longest month of the year, but for me it went by way too fast, not only tying up loose ends with the Conference venue, but also working on a new project which is confirmed in the diary for 3-5th April 2025 (more on this later) the month went by in…

It has been a busy and interesting month.  Martin retires at the end of July, and this has actioned many ‘goodbye’ events, firstly from his team in Edinburgh, Scotland.  I flew up for a few days and took the train from Edinburgh to Glasgow to have tea with Marion Kirk.   Glasgow is a beautiful city,…

  • April 2025 Update

After what felt like an eternity waiting for the calendar to turn into April for the Tarot by the Sea retreat, it suddenly arrived. It always astounds me when I realise how much the UK Tarot Conference has influenced and attracted attention from overseas, connections made with strangers, whose only link between us is Tarot, have been a huge and unexpected blessing.   I promised that this year, as we reach the end of the major arcana that the event…
