July 2026 Update

July is a slow month for the conference; most things are in hand by now, and other than sending the final invoices for ticket payments and receiving the wonderful news that Weiser/Red Feather are to be one of our amazing sponsors for the conference, and creating new banners for the conference, I have had time to breathe.

This month I spent a week in Paphos with my family.  My great plan to go see Aphrodite Rock hit a flaw. To be honest, it was much further away from where I was staying, and I couldn’t be bothered, lol, that’s the truth!

Something that’s come on my radar this month is the ongoing issue with fake decks. It’s well-known and truly shocking, but it’s spilled into the art world, where paintings are being sold as Pamela Colman Smith originals when they’re not. I’ll share more about this at the conference.  All I will say for now on the matter is that if it seems too good to be true, it probably is.

The conference has only 3 tickets left for Friday and Saturday. If you cannot make it in person, there is always the virtual option http://tarotconference.co.uk/booking/  Also, look out for our giveaways via social media from August @UKTarotconference and FB: UK Tarot Conference Group; the publishers have been very generous!

We’re excited to announce our annual Magician Card Competition! You don’t need to attend the conference to enter.  We have a great prize if you are UK-based winner (or you can choose a virtual ticket), and an international winner will receive a virtual ticket!  More details on the conference home page, and you can download the template here .

Finally, bookings are open for the 2027 Tarot by the Sea retreat. Ostara weekend 18 – 20th March 2027.  There are just 14 rooms available, and 9 have sold.   This is a beautiful few days of relaxation, tarot and friendships!  http://tarotconference.co.uk/special-events/

That’s all for July.

Have a great month
