October 2025 Update

The 2025 ‘Fool’ conference is wrapped up until next year, and what a blast it was.  I am already working on 2026, more on this later.

There was something very special about the energy this year.   I can’t quite put my finger on it, but the new venue worked well, the food was excellent, the space was amazing, and enabled Chris Butler and I to display some of the Court card images from Arcana78.  Nick and Matt, our tech team, had everything under control for our virtual attendees, and of course, the speakers were outstanding.

Behind the scenes, I am usually dealing with a drama, but not this year, in fact, it was the first conference I have ever sat through all the presentations.

Our Thursday pre-conference event has become an integral part of the conference format. It’s a wonderful opportunity for attendees to connect before the main event—enjoy some food, grab drinks from the bar, and mingle. My dear Liz baked a fabulous ‘Fool’ cake and vegan cupcakes for those with dietary preferences. The evening was filled with lively conversations, laughter, cake, and plenty of hugs. My catchphrase that evening, “Is there a magician in the house?” summoned the talented Neil Kelso, who wowed us with a funny and engaging impromptu magic show.

The energy on Friday and Saturday was fabulous.  A real eclectic offering of the Fools’ energy, each speaker who took the stage brought their own brilliance, contributing unique perspectives that enriched the experience.   TarotJo, alongside Tiffany Lazic, offered ‘Tarot Vibe’. She knew this had me worried lol, but judging by the stomp, stomp, clap, clap on Saturday lunchtime, it went down a storm, brought a smile to people’s faces and added a true ‘Fool’ moment.

The UK Tarot Conference is a remarkable event, it gets better every year.   The support from our amazing sponsors creates a wow moment when the goodie bags are revealed. Thank you, Llewellyn, Hay House, Schiffer, Red Feather, Lo Scarabeo, The Gypsy Fair Thailand, and Boo Cult. You are amazing. The goodie bags were fabulous.

I am currently in negotiations with the venue for next year, however, pop 9th 10th October 2026 into the diary, year 23 here we come!

After months of announcing each of our conference speakers on our Facebook Page, ‘UK Tarot Conference Group,’ I’m thrilled to share that artist Charles Newington will be joining us and collaborating with John Matthews on his presentation about creating ‘The Fool’s New Journey Tarot’.  I’ve long wanted to meet Charles, and I can’t wait for…

  • November 2025 Update

November tends to be a slow month for work, which I deliberately chose. I close my books to focus on things I’ve neglected. Right now, I’m going through my Tarot collection—some decks date back decades, and I honestly don’t know what to do with everything. I’ve accumulated over 100 books and more than 300 decks,…

We’re almost there! The countdown to the 21st UK Tarot Conference has begun, and I’m now counting down days instead of months. I won’t lie—sleepless nights are starting to creep in as I double-check everything in my mind, making sure I haven’t overlooked a single detail. There’s just so much to remember! Unlike most conferences…

You would think six months prior to a fully sold-out conference life would be easy. If anything, it is picking up pace. I honestly don’t know where the time goes. After what felt like an eternity waiting for the calendar to turn into April for the Tarot by the Sea retreat, it suddenly arrived. The venue in Ramsgate changed ownership at Christmas, and a new events team took over. There was a period of chaos that left me feeling uncertain about their readiness for our…
