January 2026 Update

January’s been a busy month, and I’m excited to say we’ve got the full lineup for the 2026 UK Tarot Conference sorted! Some names you will recognise instantly, and others not so familiar, but trust me, they are fabulous, I’ll be sharing the details very soon (February 16th). All speakers fit perfectly with the theme of The Magician. Plus, we have experts on Pamela Colman Smith and other old-school Tarot pioneers who played a big role in shaping the Tarot we love today.  It is going to be very special.

I am excited to share that I have been invited to speak via Zoom on a Podcast hosted by the Tarot Guild of Australia on February 22nd. During the session, I will be talking about this year’s conference theme, “The Magician of Tarot,” delving deeper into the Magician card and offering a few live readings. Canterbury Event 6th June! Recently, I mentioned in a post about my summer event in Canterbury.  Last year, as we approached the 22nd UK Tarot Conference and completed the major arcana, I found myself questioning whether it was time to hang up my conference organiser hat. The idea of hosting smaller, more local events began to take shape just in case.  However, the conference is going nowhere, I love it too much, but just when I thought I might slow down, life has a way of getting busier—and I couldn’t be more thrilled. I’m delighted to be working in Canterbury alongside my speakers, Steven Bright, Ari Wisner, Lara Van Zuydam, and Joseph Stretch for what promises to be an incredible day in a beautiful city.    And between you and me, I have a little smug smile about this one. Hosting an event just a stone’s throw from Canterbury Cathedral—home of the Archbishop—feels especially meaningful. In the early days, many of you know I faced some challenging experiences, including bullying from members of the Church. So, standing here now, hosting an event in this historic city feels like a powerful statement—a bit of defiance and a lot of celebration.  Tickets are just £90 and include lunch and refreshments throughout the day. http://tarotconference.co.uk/special-events/

February will bring exciting news as the speakers will be announced and after the big reveal, I will be introducing them individually.   Also, there is something quite special bubbling in the background, I hope it happens and I can share with you soon.  Don’t you just hate a cryptic message lol!

Have a great month, as we prepare to welcome the Chinese year of the Fire Horse on February 17th!

The December Newsletter is always a moment of reflection for me, a time to look back on the year and evaluate the highs and lows. This year’s conference was arguably one of the best we’ve had since the pandemic. And while there were a few behind-the-scenes stresses, it’s essential that all of you see only…

You would think six months prior to a fully sold-out conference life would be easy. If anything, it is picking up pace. I honestly don’t know where the time goes. • January 2025 Update

2025 has had an interesting start and I am hoping the Hermit year improves. After a bout of flu which I passed on to the family (you are welcome), the grandchildren both got chicken pox, I have had this twice in my life which is apparently unheard of but thankfully I escaped the spotty disease!…
