June 2025 Update

This month, I had a meeting with the events team at The Copthorne Tara Hotel. Julie, my new contact, was delightful, professional, and on the ball, something I haven’t been used to in the past (lol).    She could not have been more helpful, which in turn stops me from hyperventilating!   Although we have a larger space this year, I am still capping attendance at 100 people, partly because of the logistics of dealing with more people than this and bringing the goodie bag stock in my car, which, to be honest, I could use a removal van!     A reminder that if you are holding a ticket on deposit, you can pay an amount via our ‘Pay as you Go’ option http://tarotconference.co.uk/booking/. Invoices for the outstanding balance will be sent in early July for payment by 8th August.     If you are switching to virtual, please can you let me know, as numbers need to be finalised.

On Instagram, we launched a great competition to win a virtual ticket and a goodie bag, which has been ‘liked and shared’ many times.  The competition runs until 1st September, so if you want to enter, get yourself on the page and follow the instructions.   We have revamped the speakers’ tiles for Instagram, they do look stunning in pink, check out all the IG posts @uktarotconference

It is always a lovely surprise when something unexpected drops into my inbox.   Charles Newington has created many artworks which feature the Fool, you are the first to know that a small exhibition will be on display at the conference and available for purchase.

And ……. More news   …… Arcana 78 is now complete, a beautiful deck by Chris Butler, created to celebrate 22 years of the UK Tarot Conference.  It is stunning, the Court cards are dedicated to many ‘famous’ people in our industry, both alive and dead.   The deck is clever, usable, striking, and Limited Edition.    We plan to go to print at the end of this month.   It will only be available at the conference, once sold out, that will be it.       More images and information will be shared next month.

That’s all for June, I am popping to Edinburgh next week and hope to meet up with Tarot friends, in the meantime, enjoy the energy of the Summer Solstice.

Kim xx

They say January is the longest month of the year, but for me it went by way too fast, not only tying up loose ends with the Conference venue, but also working on a new project which is confirmed in the diary for 3-5th April 2025 (more on this later) the month went by in…

It has been a busy and interesting month.  Martin retires at the end of July, and this has actioned many ‘goodbye’ events, firstly from his team in Edinburgh, Scotland.  I flew up for a few days and took the train from Edinburgh to Glasgow to have tea with Marion Kirk.   Glasgow is a beautiful city,…

On June 6th, I had the pleasure of hosting a one-day Tarot event, held near my home in Canterbury, Kent. After months of pondering themes, I realised that sticking with the title—UK Tarot Conference—was perfectly fine.  Having hosted the Tarot conference for 23 years, I believe the name is well-established and stands strong on its own….

  • March 2026 Update

March was a whirlwind. Each year, I attend the London Book Fair with Steven Bright, other than a good catch-up with Steven, the visit is primarily to reconnect with publisher friends and to secure items for the UK Tarot Conference goodie bags. I’m aware that I’ve set a high standard for these goodie bags—arguably the…

What a whirlwind October has been! As I write this, the conference has wrapped up, and I am already working on our 2025 conference.  Here’s a quick overview of our 2024 conference: our Thursday pre-conference event has turned into the most sought-after ticket in town—and honestly, I’m not surprised; it’s fantastic! The private room upstairs…

My ‘Tarot by the Sea’ retreat is just weeks away, I have written new workshops, including one on Shadow work, this is not something I use much, however, as the words flowed, I realise how important understanding shadow energy is.   Exploring our emotions and uncovering what holds us back through shadow work can be incredibly…
