May 2025 Update

It always astounds me when I realise how much the UK Tarot Conference has influenced and attracted attention from overseas, connections made with strangers, whose only link between us is Tarot, have been a huge and unexpected blessing.   I promised that this year, as we reach the end of the major arcana that the event would be special, and thanks to our international Tarot family, it really is shaping up to be more than I could have dared.   You will note I am being rather cryptic, but I am always reluctant to shout from the rooftops until I know 100% things are in place, we are 90% there!

There are only 10 in-person seats left for the 2025 conference. of course, there is always the virtual option, which we have reduced in price to make it accessible to all.  Virtual attendance offers access to knowledge and professional development.  Our ticket includes two days of live viewing, with recordings available for later viewing, (accommodating different time zones and personal commitments). Joining virtually, you will be able to connect with speakers and attendees worldwide, receive download presentation materials, and any supplementary content provided by speakers.

The talented Chris Butler has been working hard on creating Arcana 78, the full deck to complete the Major Arcana deck created to celebrate 20 years of the UK Tarot Conference. The concept of the minors and courts is a stroke of genius, and we will be printing a VERY limited print run.  I know this will be a collector’s item. I will share more next month.

If you follow on social media, you will see that hard copy programmes have arrived, a bundle has been sent to the Atlantis Bookshop.  If you are in London, pop in and grab a copy.  You can also download the programme from the website booking page.   Sponsors once again have been beyond generous and goodie bags will be extravagant!

Finally, you will see on the programme two events I have in the diary for 2026, the ‘Tarot by the Sea’ retreat, Deal, Kent, in March, and ‘The Convergence of Tarot’ event on 6th June in Canterbury.  The retreat is almost sold out, those who came last year loved it so much they have rebooked, but a couple of rooms are left.  http://tarotconference.co.uk/special-events/

That’s all for now, have a great month!

This month, I had a meeting with the events team at The Copthorne Tara Hotel. Julie, my new contact, was delightful, professional, and on the ball, something I haven’t been used to in the past (lol).    She could not have been more helpful, which in turn stops me from hyperventilating!   Although we have a larger…

2025 has had an interesting start and I am hoping the Hermit year improves. After a bout of flu which I passed on to the family (you are welcome), the grandchildren both got chicken pox, I have had this twice in my life which is apparently unheard of but thankfully I escaped the spotty disease!…

They say January is the longest month of the year, but for me it went by way too fast, not only tying up loose ends with the Conference venue, but also working on a new project which is confirmed in the diary for 3-5th April 2025 (more on this later) the month went by in…

You would think six months prior to a fully sold-out conference life would be easy. If anything, it is picking up pace. I honestly don’t know where the time goes. My priority is always the conference, as you know the in person event is sold out, and I have been following up with emails checking that…

Just back from a Mediterranean cruise, I’ve developed a habit of searching out Tarot shops wherever I travel. Dubrovnik, apparently has quite an active Tarot scene, and I had my heart set on visiting a specific shop I’d researched beforehand. After walking in circles trying to find it, it was closed when I arrived!!!! Peering…
