August 2025 Update

I had a truly magical time in Salem. It was my first visit to Massachusetts, and it far exceeded my expectations. Spending time with Betty Jane, who travelled from Canada, was a real highlight. Betty Jane is a Salem expert—she knows the place like the back of her hand—and made the experience even more special with her expert guidance. There were many giggles. I haven’t belly laughed so much for ages, it was a lovely surprise to see my friends Maya and Joan from the USA there, but what happens in Salem stays in Salem 😊

Unfortunately, the Witch City Gathering Conference was a bit disappointing. Perhaps my expectations are too high, running my own events, I always aim to ensure my attendees leave feeling they received their best experience, with attention to detail. This gathering, however, felt somewhat disorganised. I only attended a few workshops, which were spread out across different rooms, with no time allocated to move between them. This led to constant disruptions during workshops, with people walking in after sessions had started. There is so much to say about the event; however, I think best to leave it there. Despite that, I’m still so glad I attended. It was a meaningful opportunity to check off a bucket list destination. I love Salem and will return in a heartbeat!

UK Tarot Conference News: The conference is SOLD OUT—100 attendees! However, thanks to a larger venue this year, I’m still accepting last-minute registrations. Our virtual option offers what I believe is the best value of any Tarot conference worldwide. At only £90 for two full days of learning and interaction, it’s an investment you won’t regret.

All the goodies for the goodie bags have arrived! I’ve been told these are the best conference bags around, and I want to thank our sponsors for making this possible. You’re going to love what’s inside! Speaking of bags—literally—our friend Pongpunt Wongnongteoi, organiser of the successful Gypsy Fair in Thailand, sent us a batch of complimentary bags. You’re going to adore them!

On Thursday evening, during the pre-conference event, we’ll set up a sales table featuring rare out-of-print Tarot and Oracle decks. Attendees will get the first look at some very special decks on offer.

Exciting news—Arcana 78 is at the printers and should arrive very soon. It’s a stunning deck; both Chris Butler and I have been working with it, and I can honestly say it has incredible energy. It resonates deeply with the core of your questions, and with many influential figures featured in the majors and court cards, each card holds powerful energy.   As we have 6 weeks to go until the conference, here’s a peek at 6 never been seen before cards.  You can reserve your copy here.  http://tarotconference.co.uk/booking/#arcana78

That’s all for this month.

It has been a busy and interesting month.  Martin retires at the end of July, and this has actioned many ‘goodbye’ events, firstly from his team in Edinburgh, Scotland.  I flew up for a few days and took the train from Edinburgh to Glasgow to have tea with Marion Kirk.   Glasgow is a beautiful city,…

  • November 2025 Update

November tends to be a slow month for work, which I deliberately chose. I close my books to focus on things I’ve neglected. Right now, I’m going through my Tarot collection—some decks date back decades, and I honestly don’t know what to do with everything. I’ve accumulated over 100 books and more than 300 decks,…

They say January is the longest month of the year, but for me it went by way too fast, not only tying up loose ends with the Conference venue, but also working on a new project which is confirmed in the diary for 3-5th April 2025 (more on this later) the month went by in…
