December News

Can you believe another year is almost at an end.   It has been quite a year with the anticipation of the 20th UK Tarot Conference, new venue, and speakers both familiar and new to us gracing my stage.   This conference was the absolute highlight for me and I know the Judgement theme touched many of you.

Although you are familiar with me introducing the speakers, it is a rare thing for me to grab a spot for myself to speak, this year it felt right to share my story of how the conference began.  I honestly thought you all knew the background of my issues with the church (or theirs with me) and why I started the conference, I genuinely thought most of you would dash off to the pub after dinner 😊 I did not expect a room full of my beloved Tarot family interested in what I had to share!  My talk was emotional and cathartic, yet saying it out loud has helped me shift, even though I wasn’t aware I needed too.  Thank you to all of you, your kind words and big hugs have made me even more proud to be part of the Tarot world.

The end of a year brings time for reflection, I am so grateful to the publishers who support our goodie bags, Bill Krause/Llewellyn, Severine Jeauneau/Red Feather, Michelle Pilley/Hay House, Adam Gordon/Watkins, Darren Shill/Liminal 11, Kindred Spirit magazine and everyone who donates items for the Bursary and raffle to make this event so special.   A huge thank you to Chris Butler for the creation of Arcana20, such a wonderful project, watch this space for an update on this as we move on a stage, and Steven Bright who makes the Esotoracle look easy, my lovely friend Liz Dowden who bakes the best cake and runs the stand at the conference.  There are so many people I am grateful to have in my life, far too many to name but you know who you are.

As a family we welcomed a new granddaughter Annabelle, born on 25th May, World Tarot Day, although I have no idea what that is, but hey ho, it fits the narrative!

The 2024 Conference planning is underway with speakers approached, I am still waiting for venue contracts, but I am 99% confident we will be back at the Holiday Inn, Bloomsbury.  Announcements will be made early next year.

Finally, Martin and I would like to wish you all a wonderful Yule and a happy, healthy, and prosperous new year.

With much love Kim x
